Priyami talks about her journey from architecture to the corporate world, her role in AJVA SP, the challenges she faced and her achievements. She also shares her guiding leadership philosophy and provides advice for young women and girls aspiring to become business leaders and entrepreneurs in the future.
Priyami started her career in architecture but soon realized that she wanted to learn the end-to-end life cycle of a project. She joined a non-broking consulting firm to gain an unbiased perspective of the real estate industry and the market. After working with large databases and interacting with different stakeholders of the RE market, she developed a multi-dimensional understanding of the sector. Later, she joined AJVA SP under the guidance of Mr. Praveen Subramanya, a well-known and eminent individual in the consulting, advisory, and valuation sector. Priyami is responsible for various roles and activities, ranging from building a team to driving business growth and expansion.
Priyami faced the challenge of being perceived as too young to provide consulting and advisory services. However, she used it to her advantage and turned it into her biggest strength. Her guiding leadership philosophy is to be solution-oriented, appreciative, and value the effort of her team. She also believes in maintaining a work-life balance to promote a healthy working culture and bring out the best productivity of the team.
Priyami’s advice for young women and girls aspiring to become business leaders and entrepreneurs in the future is to believe in themselves, have clarity of thoughts, be passionate about their work, and work hard to achieve their goals. They should also be open to new ideas and philosophies, continuously learn, and never stop growing.
Priyami’s journey from architecture to the corporate world and her ability to overcome challenges and achieve success is inspiring. Her leadership philosophy of being solution-oriented and appreciative of her team’s efforts is admirable.
