How would you define Everest Parenterals as an organization and its current position in the market?
Everest Parenterals is a first-of-its-kind state-of-the-art sterile manufacturing plant in Nepal. We are the largest manufacturer of sterile injectables with large and small volumes parenteral. Our R&D in CAPD has made us the market leader in the country. We are moving with a rapid scale of growth with a vision to provide Nepal with high-quality injectables at low costs, making it self-sufficient in injectable products.
Tell us about your flagship offerings and value additions that customers can expect from your offerings.
Our plant is the first plant in Nepal that facilitates the manufacturing of Large Volume Parenterals, Small Volume Parenterals, Eye/Ear Drops & Nasal Spray under one roof, which are sterilized at 121 degrees centigrade. Also, we have very stringent quality assurance policies to ensure quality and compliance in our manufacturing.
Could you reflect on some of the toughest challenges you have encountered in your journey so far? How did you overcome them?
The Covid-19 pandemic was a significant setback in our business because we had just set up our plant when the waves hit us. However, the successful manufacturing of VTM acted as a ray of sunlight on a stormy day. Despite the challenging situation, we acquired our product license and launched our product in the market during Covid. We got back on our feet and helped the country carry out the safe transfer of viruses for diagnostic purposes.
What is the future destination you are heading towards?
Our mission is to become the country’s leading sterile injectable manufacturing & distribution company. We seek opportunities to export our products to the Philippines and Africa. Acquiring the WHO GMP certification will allow us to provide high-quality, affordable injectables worldwide.

When the pandemic hit, we had just set up our manufacturing plant and were facing a lot of uncertainty about the future of our business. However, we were able to adapt quickly to the changing circumstances and leverage our strengths to help the country carry out the safe transfer of viruses for diagnostic purposes.
Despite the challenging situation, we acquired our product license and launched our products in the market during Covid. This helped us get back on our feet and enabled us to contribute to the country’s efforts to combat the pandemic. It was a testament to our team’s resilience, dedication, and hard work, and I am incredibly proud of what we accomplished together.
What guidance or suggestions would you offer to individuals aspiring to launch a healthcare business?
My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs in the healthcare industry would be to focus on identifying a gap in the market that needs to be filled. It’s not enough to just do something new; you need to do something different that addresses a pressing need in the industry. You should also be passionate about the work that you’re doing and have a long-term vision for the future of your business.
